In In the Matter of Anonymous, the Indiana Supreme Court, clearly demonstrated the need for attorneys to follow the Indiana Rules of Professional Conduct, as well as the Indiana Rules for Admission to the Bar and the Discipline of Attorneys. The court explained that an Illinois attorney who had applied pro hac vice was privately reprimanded after he failed for two years to file his Notice with the Clerk, nor pay his annual registration fee. The decision for the private reprimand seems to have been due to the parties' mutual agreement. So, the punishment for failing to follow the Rules could be a greater consequence.
